Amazon wanted The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to be the first show out there to start campaigning for the 2019 Emmys. To mark the launch of that campaign, we gave Angelenos the best gift of the Spring: 1959 prices. Across Los Angeles, 28 businesses—from Canter’s Deli to nail salons to gas stations—knocked their prices down: 99¢ Reubens, 30¢ gas, $2.00 makeovers. The traffic jam was “unintentional.”

We also targeted LA and New York Variety subscribers and hid a flexidisc of Midge’s Concord Hotel performance under the magazine’s August cover.
